Aoki Japanese Grill Sushi - Seattle

Delicious specialty rolls, sashimi, and nigri. I've never understood how fish could melt in your mouth until I ate here.The bento box California roll was underwhelming, but everything else was really great and worth the price.

This was the first time we've had sushi in Seattle. We come from Denver and thought moving from a landlocked state to the coast would really improve the quality of the sushi but we were mistaken. The food was meh at best and the rolls were poorly crafted.

The best sushi value in Seattle. The perfect local casual spot. The nigiri and sashimi quality is excellent! Love their specialty rolls as well but Aoki really shines in its simplicity, I recommend just getting your favorite fish and just going to town. Solid miso, lovely bento. My partner and I have gotten takeout here about once a week for the last year, I just took my first photo of the food yesterday! I can never wait long enough before I eat to get a pic.The new owner has really stepped it up as well, with the previous owner the hot food was sometimes hit or miss but I haven’t had a single issue since they’ve arrived. It’s super cute inside now as well. All of the staff are lovely and provide such wonderful service, I always feel welcome and cared for.Pictured: Sake Nigiri, Maguro Nigiri, and salmon skin maki.

Great food! Chef Kim, great. Recommendation from a sushi chef in Tampa.... Large portions, fresh and not to mention a great staff.
