The food was bursting with flavor, and Chef Will is exceptional! I would return in a heartbeat. Please don't shut this place down—I want to bring everyone I know here. This is by far the best dinner spot on Long Island. Treat yourself and try the duck fat frites and the empanadas! In fact, just get everything!
I had an amazing meal at the kitchen last night. The staff was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was wonderful. I highly recommend it!
This past week, I attended a Friendsgiving dinner organized by a friend. There were 14 of us, most of whom didn’t know each other. I’m thrilled to say I’ve discovered a new all-time favorite: Artaux in Sea Cliff. The food, crafted by Chef James Muir, is absolutely incredible—packed with amazing flavors, fresh ingredients, and utterly delicious. The dining area at Artaux is cozy but not cramped, featuring just a few tables in the main dining room, including one communal table. There’s also a chef’s table in the kitchen that accommodates about 16 people. Alongside their in-house dining, Artaux has a well-established catering business that is simply fabulous. I wish I could detail everything I tried, which included beef, chicken, exquisite French fries (definitely not your ordinary fries), a salad, some delightful cheese, and a dulce de leche dessert. As I mentioned earlier, EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING—a symphony of fabulous flavors. I highly encourage you to visit Artaux and experience my new favorite Long Island restaurant for yourself. Artaux fine foods was rated as excellent in the New York Times so of course I came with high expectations. To start I had the octopus carpaccio (a little too tangy tasting and thin) and the lamb. The lamb appetizer was so good I had to fight my mom to dip my lamb in more of the delicious sauce. For my main course I had the Chilean sea bass special which still makes my mouth water. It came with spaghetti squash which delicious as well. To top off this delicious meal I had two berry cocktails, which were amazing but I wish they had more alcohol in them,
Went to Artaux last night. Enjoyed the meal tremendously. The place is small, and, yes, you have to sit at a communal table but it wasn't terrible . The staff could not be complicated enough. They were professional, eager to please, and friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant but definitely make reservations!
