Maronis Pizza House - Scranton

I like to keep an open mind, but honestly, my first impression was that this might be the worst slice I’d ever had. To my surprise, I was completely wrong—it made me eat my words! This pizza is absolutely delicious! Whoever came up with this concept is a true pizza genius! With its lightly saucy tomato flavor and tangy yellow cheese paired with crispy charred edges, it reminded me of a grilled cheese sandwich dipped in tomato soup. Who doesn't love that combo, right? (Just kidding!) In short, if you ever find yourself in the Scranton area, you must try Maroni's Old Forge Style Pizza. I think you’ll agree that it’s truly in a league of its own. Come and enjoy some great food!

We waited for 70 minutes for our pizza but it was worth it. We ordered a square half pepperoni half sausage. The pizza was ready when we arrived, we had take out. The pepperoni and sausage were tasty unlike many establishments in the area. The crust was cooked to perfection.

This pizza didn't initially look as enticing as it tasted. I requested extra sauce, and although I couldn't see it, I could certainly taste it along with the unique cheesiness. The service was excellent as well; they called me to pick up the pizza in less time than they had estimated. The prices are also very reasonable. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is that pepperoni was mistakenly put on two slices, which could have led to a disastrous situation had we not noticed it before eating.

Had to throw out because it's literally a grilled cheese sandwich on pita bread. I ate two slices hoping I'd like it, but I honestly don't, I don't like grilled cheese so out it goes. There's no sauce, just a flat bread grilled cheese sandwich pretending to be a pizza. Meatballs were good, the only thing that resembled pizza I guess. Made a Red Barons personal pizza and added the salvaged meatballs. I'd give it a zero, but the topping was good. Never again.
