Bucky's Cafe - Scottsville

Wife and I had lunch there today. Soup and sandwich, burger and fries, and two drinks. Total was $25 with tip. Burger had hardly any meat. I suspect it was 1/4 pound. Marketed as grass-fed, but was cooked far past well done you got no flavor from the meat. Soup was not served hot and was under seasoned. Pretty sure they forgot to add any salt or pepper. Bread on the sandwich was stale and had the texture that it had been opened to the air for a day or two. Disappointing to pay premium prices for below average quality.

I ordered a salad to go, made some special changes to my order, it was ready quickly and tasted good. The employee I worked with was friendly.

We moved only just minutes away from the area. We noticed this place on the square in scottsville. We decided to try something new and we are so glad that we did. They have amazing salads and sandwiches and a selection of other menu items that we will be back for. Alot of their food is from the local farmers. Another great reason to drop in and give it a whirl. Its healthy and yummy not to mention clean. The staff could up the notch in customer service though. I definitely recommend it as a nice sit down outside of a burger joint plsce. Its felt good to eat right and not have to worry so much about calories. I will return here.

This charming restaurant downtown has a limited menu with daily specials. There is a burger of the day and an entree of the day. Other menu items are sandwiches, chicken tenders and salads. All but one of our group ordered a sandwich. The chicken salad sandwich was served on hearty wheat bread which was toasted. The chicken salad was flavorful with lots of dill and did not include any fruit or nuts (good for those with nut allergies). All sandwiches are served with chips but any of several sides can be substituted. Servings are generous and prices were reasonable.
