The Pony Express Café - Scottsdale

The service was mediocre at best and the coffee was terrible. I was excited to have a nice cup of coffee while reading the newspaper, but was disappointed when I was given an overly hot cappuccino in a to-go cup. Not only was the use of a paper cup disappointing, but the coffee was too hot to enjoy. It made me wonder if their baristas were properly trained in the art of coffee making.

Having this restaurant nearby is a nice option, especially with limited food choices in the area.

The food is delicious and reasonably priced at this restaurant. The staff is friendly and there is great coffee. You can choose to dine in or take advantage of the pet-friendly outdoor seating area. We enjoy the variety of lunch options such as omelettes, sandwiches, and big salads, all of which are tasty.

Instead I received a scoldingly hot cappuccino in a take away cup. Getting a paper cup was bad enough, but the coffee was too hot to drink. Do they not train their baristas on the art of coffee making?
