State 48 Lager House - Scottsdale

The server was really great. Fast, friendly efficient. The greeting was a little slow considering it wasn’t busy. We were told sit wherever you want. The food was not stellar but was fresh and hot. The menu and food was similar to the old place. I would like to see them succeed so we will be back to give them another shot.

This is one of our favorite places to eat. We always stop here on our way to Salt Lake City. The food is great with large portions and it is fresh. Their service is exceptional, everyone is friendly and ready to answer any questions you may have. Their margaritas are great. This is a very relaxed atmosphere. You can't go wrong at State 48 Lager House.

We left early, to make sure we made it by open at 11, and the manager let us in early, she said she didn't want us waiting outside, which we were happy to wait because we knew we were early. She was not having it, and quickly and warmly invited us in and found the wonderful beer we had at the state 48 funk house, they had different names, but here, it is Bevertail Blueberry Stout it was as amazing as it was the weekend before. Pretzel and beer cheese, Totchos, and grilled cheese and tomato soup for the win! The manager, has my heart, she was so great and so super social. Thank you!! ? This will definitely be a main spot! For customer service, beer, and food!

It’s obvious that the management (Tracy specifically) of State 48 Surprise, are doing their job, really appreciate their customers and want you to keep coming back. Within a couple minutes of being seated we have a menu and our favorite craft beer is served just as fast. Some restaurants have no idea how to serve a medium rare burger, no so at State 48! The fries are outstanding and the Reuben is another favorite choice. If by some chance you have room after lunch or dinner I highly recommend the chocolate cake!

I was in the mood for some beers and some small bites. I had the Blueberry Ale and the Mango Wheat. They both were smooth and tasty and refreshing. I ate the Brussels sprouts and the M at all’s off the apps menu. They were perfect. The meatballs were moist and full of flavor. The server was great and made me feel welcome.
