I was eager to try kimchi, so I ordered the kimchi soup. It was quite tasty! I wasn’t looking for something too spicy, and it turned out to have a nice balance of flavors, especially for my first experience with it.
Incredible and absolutely delicious! Here are a few highlights from our experience. The server was very friendly and provided fantastic service. We tried the Bulgogi, Galbi, and Dak Galbi. While not every dish on the menu may appeal to everyone, I encourage you not to miss out on this wonderful experience. Lastly, the cozy atmosphere made it feel just like a BBQ in Korea. Gather some friends and just keep ordering until you’re satisfied!
New ownership... Again! My husband and I stayed here a few days ago at noon and were surprised (maybe we didn't have it! that there were ANOTHER new owners. They were there about 3 weeks, said that the restaurant has been there some time, but this property has changed quite many times (no joke, really? . I just hope this owner stays here because the food is great! My husband had his usual, the Dolsot Bibimbap (it is served in a stone pot that is so hot, it will burn your rice on the bottom if you do not mix everything, but it is served with a variety of things on the top, including a fried egg that cooks the egg yolk as you mix everything. He used less of the chili paste/sauce than he used because it spicier than before. I had the Kimchi Jigae, which in this case is an extremely spicy one-pot (like a crispy soup with Kimchi pork (I decided for the pig on recommendation of the owner, but it wasn't pork like just regular pork, I think it was something along the lines of a very slender Korean suction that was cut. It was so spicy and the chili they use is just like the stuff my aunt sent from Korea. Make all the difference in the world! The little courts were interesting. A couple I could have done without, but that's just personal preference. The ones we liked brought out more. You just have to ask. But the aromas are more authentic and less Westernized. What a beautiful change! You have added a few things to the menu (which I noticed are not on the website. My aunt (which is Korean, once told me that if the Kimchi is good, Korean people will eat in the restaurant. If it's bad, you won't see her. In this case, there were people who speak Korean, so I would say it's a safe bet. We really enjoyed it!
This place deserves to be far busier than it is! I stopped in Sat Eve at 5pm and was the only customer. It looked like the young man and woman working may have been Mother and son? Owners perhaps? The soft tofu soup was excellent as we're all the bowls of pickled goodies brought out. From the flavor you could tell it was all low salt, which is not a criticism. There was salt on the table. I was very happy with the food and service and will be back regularly!
