Service was very slow- it took forever to get our food. There’s no bartender so they don’t offer mixed cocktails. Definitely not a team culture amongst the staff here- lots of “this isn’t my table”, “I’ll ask YOUR server to help you.” Ended up going to the host desk myself to get a kid’s menu for the 5 year old in our party because when we asked the busser, Kaylee for one she said she’d have to find our server to get us one. Really? Also heard our server telling the table next to us that she couldn’t help them because she wasn’t their server. Lots of opportunities for improvement in the team culture here.
We ate there for dinner and for breakfast. Food is excellent. Beautiful setting. Breakfast service was fantastic, dinner service was SLOW. The server would disappear for 30 minutes at a time, which made the evening less enjoyable.
Maybe turn on the misters when its 90+ out, also saw empty tables inside… Food was great, great selection, and quality. Polite professional timely wait staff.
Not a good experience at all. We went on a Friday night at around 7pm and the place was nearly empty. There was a single, older couple inside and about 10 people outside on the patio. We chose to sit out on the patio. So given that there was hardly anyone there, we were shocked by the slow service. We were there for a few minutes and the server stopped by and asked if we wanted anything to drink. My wife was looking at the drink menu so the server said she'd get us some water and be right back to get our drinks order. She didn't return for another 15 minutes and apologized for the delay. Took another 10 minutes to get our drinks. We ordered an appetizer and our food. It took about another 30 minutes to bring out a salad and some bruschetta. I started noticing that other couples that came in before us had no food and were just sitting there looking a little annoyed. There was a larger table of about 5 women who were grumbling about something, and then I noticed the manager approach their table and apologize about the long wait for food. During this time we saw our server once, and I asked for a soda, which she forgot about and brought me one 15 minutes later. About 30-40 minutes went by and the manager approached our table to apologize for the long wait and explain that the kitchen staff had fallen way behind and had to call in their executive chef to help pick up the slack. She stated she would discount our food and apologized again. Mind you, there was still only about 15 people in the entire restaurant. They finally brought our food out at around 8:45pm. The steak I ordered for $64 was about the size of a double stacked slider and undercooked. My wife ordered chicken, and it was overcooked, dry and had no flavor. The server finally returned at about 9:15p to bring the bill, apologized again and left for about another 10 minutes. The manager came back, gave us a free bottle of wine and they ended up comping the entire meal. This was our 23rd wedding anniversary.
