We had to walk a little into the dining area to be seen. Then, we were seated for at least 5-10 minutes before anyone even came to get our orders. The only reason we lasted that long was because we were too busy chatting. There were two men walking around and looking at us but neither one came to us. A woman finally came and told us that she's the only waitress for the entire restaurant. The food came out quickly, but it was just okay. Nothing to write home about, and certainly not worth the time and money. We will continue our Indian food hunt in Scottsdale because we are not planning on going back to this one.
The food was excellent. Thanks to Open Table, we could book a reservation while on the road. The service was attentive and cordial. The staff seemed to really be enjoying their jobs. Particularly enjoyed the samosas because the ingredients were not homogeneous. It was possible to tell that there were REAL potatoes inside. The vegetable korma was good, the naan was actually warm, and the rice kheer a good top to the meal. Not an extensive wine list, but certainly adequate.
I'm almost worried about giving a good review because it could drive more traffic and make me have to wait longer next time. This place has the best Indian food I've had in AZ. The presentation is excellent and the flavors are simply magical. One tip: Google maps will send you to the rear of the strip mall, just keep going around until you find it.
Excellent food and service. Interesting ambiance. Good choice of Chaats and dosas.
This is our favorite Indian restaurant. We wait until we are in the area to have Indian food, even though there are other Indian restaurants near us
