I stopped by Bevvy for a late lunch around 2:30pm on a Tuesday. It was one of the few restaurants by my hotel that was open and serving food at the time. I snagged a seat at the bar with a few coworkers. Customer service was great. Our bartender was attentive and friendly. Although she made drinks at the quickness, the kitchen's service was super slow. This was disappointing since there were only like 8 people in the entire place, and we were the only party ordering food. Not that hard to make quesadillas and tacos. I had a piece of the quesadilla appetizer, which was meh. It was barely warm, and I found that the cheese wasn't melted all the way through. I got the Bang Bang taco per recommendation from our bartender, which was a much better snack. The shrimp was nicely breaded and crispy, and I appreciated the flavor of the sauces.
I wanted to like this place...but food has to be on point, can 't just be cool ambiance and good service to keep me coming back. It has a good ambiance for grabbing a beer and watching a game. They have loud upbeat music blaring inside and out. Have a cool outdoor patio with TVs and one lounge type couch and table in the corners. The only reason it didn 't get 2 stars was because our waitress was the sweetest!!! So nice and her slight inexperience was made up by her personality. Unfortunately, she admitted she wasn 't a bartender, and it showed in her drinks. Bless her heart she tried but, I asked for cucumber vodka soda lime juice and I got a half full lime juice martini glass. Didn 't have the heart to send it back nor complain but, there was no vodka in there. She apologized and said she 'll make it better next time....but yet still charged me $14 for this thing and there wasn 't a next time . No happy hour...which is weird considering all surrounding spots are known for happy hour. If there was a HH, it definetly wasn 't offered to us, nor were we charged HH pricing lol. Food: Not much to choose from. This place appears to be geared more towards beer and ambiance and food is incidental. $12 for eh jalapeno poppers. Cream stuffed in, not breaded (which I loved) jalapeno, wrapped in bacon. Not much flavor tho, it was ok. Not spicy at all. Comes with ranch sweet chili sauce $16 for a 60/40 burger. 60% meat, 40% bacon. This sounds amazing but honestly it just left the burger super greasy and wet. Definetly not anywhere near some of the amazing burgers I 've had here in Scottsdale. Spice and seasoning weren 't there for me. Seems like this place could have potential to be popping, but the food and drinks were very sad. Not only that, but it wasn 't very Elevated pub food but had the Elevated pub food pricing. $80 for 2 drinks, 2 burgers and a small app? Ouch.
If I could give zero stars I would. Group of 9, most of our food comes burnt/over cooked but that was the least worrisome part. The Thursday night DJ for karaoke was horribly inappropriate. From his misogynistic comments to physically rubbing my hard multiple times while I sang I feel like a women by shania Twain, and announcing I did indeed feel like a woman. The final straw was when a member of a bachelor party was allowed to yell homophobic and derogatory phrases into the microphone following his song. When I approached the man to call out his actions (me, 1 woman approached 9+ grown men), the staff removed me for creating conflict . It 's been 2 days and management has ignored all my attempts at contact. This bar is not safe for women or any members of the lgbtq community. I highly recommend avoiding and sharing with others to avoid as well.
Love this place and the great food and drinks! Tyler is amazing and always gives the best service possible. Can't wait to be back!
