The Docks - Scottsboro

Dinner at the lake with a beautiful sunset! My husband had shrimps and grits, which was the best he ever had. I fried oysters, and I was disappointed. Very small oysters and corneal coating were not good.

Beautiful location on the river (including duck, where it seems, boaters could go to the restaurant. Only local beers Stella Artois in bottles, but a good selection of them. Slow service, but who is in a hurry by the river? I'm looking.

We were sent from our fishing guide to The Docks, who turned out to be a pretty good restaurant guide. On Gunthersville Lake in Alabama, back from the street a piece sits this great food. We said don't go there unless you have the shrimps and grottos. He was right. We started the rubber bear. We followed with fried green tomatoes. I'm sure that was good, but we don't like her. Then on the shrimps and grottos. All I can say is Yummm. We were finished with lime cake and I had the bread pudding. Again yummmmmmm.

The rib eye, shrimp, scallops, and lobster were delicious. Our server (Taylor) was attentive and friendly. The view from the deck is beautiful. What a hidden treasure!
