Safeway Deli - Scotts Valley

Easy access and easy to navigate. Next home. Smaller choice, but all I need

I don't understand why people complain about this Safeway. It's probably one of the best in Santa Cruz County. The first reason is that this store is a popular hangout among locals in the area. Whenever I come here, there are always friendly residents willing to strike up a conversation. The staff, including managers, are extremely friendly and always willing to chat about anything. This business has a small-town charm reminiscent of the classic Wiggly seen on the East Coast. Everyone here is cheerful and welcoming. The store may be a bit cramped, but it appears well-maintained and very clean. I particularly enjoy the cookies from this store for some reason – they're delicious. This place is a great pit stop if you're looking to grab some food before heading to the beaches of Santa Cruz. One downside is that the donuts here are on the smaller side compared to the Safeway near my apartment.

Terrible inventory and always from stock on key items I buy.... I always imagine a waste of time... That's the second worst safeway I've ever been to #1 Morrissey Blvd Safeway. Don't waste your time coming here.... Deli counter is with miserable untrained people and the checkout act like zombies.... Avoid!

Scott's Tal Safeway is a great option in the area for a safe dining experience. The service is friendly and efficient, and you typically won't have to wait long. The store is tidy and well-organized, unlike the nearby Safeway.

Everyone here is so friendly! Kellie the manager always greets me and my kids with a smile and has helped me several times. Pepe is the sweetest and fastest at everything. Glad this is our neighborhood store.
