Berghoff's Cafe - Scott City

Our first visit here was much more enjoyable than the second one. Unfortunately, the service this time was just average, and the food did not justify the price. I ordered a small biscuit for $3.99 and two tiny eggs for over $5, which felt overpriced. My friend had pancakes and bacon but wasn't impressed with those either. The real disappointment, however, was the coffee—it was terrible! If the coffee had been good, I might have overlooked the other issues. It seems they are trying to cut costs on the coffee, but that’s not a sustainable strategy in the long run. On a positive note, they do have a monopoly, as there are no other small cafés that are open on Sundays within a ten-mile radius after church.

I enjoyed the delicious food and absolutely loved the decorations. Overall, I would rate it: Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5.

The burgers were awful. Looked like some pre boxed soy patty. The Mac and cheese side was $3 for a tiny cup with maybe 2 spoonfuls, the fries were actually pretty good. But that's about it. The food is good and very affordable. I will go again when I'm in the area. I would recommend them, but check the hours before you ho. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
