Ronni was our server and she was freaking amazing. Wish I could have tipped her more. The food came out quick and was just what I wanted. Ronni was attentive and always made sure we were good and topped off. I don't come to this part of town much but if I do I know where I'll be having all my meals and drinks at! Thank you!!
Not a good place for burger or beer for that matter. They cook the burgers in front of you. Name sounded promising but when you see how they are prepared absolutely disgusting. The dude cooking the burger was flipping burgers with one hand while chatting with someone on his cellphone. And pulling his pants every few seconds from falling to the ground. I only left a tip so maybe he can afford to buy a belt maybe and this review so maybe they can increase his salary. The bartender didn’t seem at all interested in being the host. Wouldn’t recommend this place. Check your security cameras before you accuse a paying customer of making wild accusations. Your response tells me all I need to know. Won’t return or recommend this place
$8+ for a draft beer is pretty high. I know it's downtown but this is a dive bar. Not sure about the food but looked good. Couldn't justify paying $24 for a burger, beer, and fries. Also odd they don't have basic traditional veggies available for their burgers like lettuce, tomato.
Jack Brown's came highly recommended by a bartender at Cobblestone, with emphasis on the fried Oreos. Inside, the decor was weirdly cool but the place was super dark. Service is very informal so we sat at the bar. The draft list was behind the bar but there was so much on the wall, I missed it at first. We ordered what I think was called Classic Jack sans friend egg, Cobra Kai and Greg Brady. Burgers themselves tasted great but they're small. The Greg Brady should use Grippos and the mac and cheese wasn't giving a lot of flavor. The crinkle cut friends were pretty basic, not that great but nothing bad. Of course we got the fried Oreos. I've never been a fan so after 1 bite my friend finished mine too. Probably won't return on purpose but it's nice to see a burger joint in the OTR area.
Ambiance, and fries are good. Beer prices were very reasonable. The burgers, however, were incredibly poor. The buns seemed cheap and were kinda just mushy and bland. The actual patty was dry, overcooked with little seasoning, and incredibly small. I don’t usually have a gripe with portion sizes but this was remarkably small. I also got the spiciest burger on the menu (was warned by the waitress and it wasn’t that spicy at all. Everyone in our party agreed that the burgers were dry so it wasn’t just my burger as an outlier. I understand that negative reviews can hurt a business so I hope they take this and try to improve (portion sizes!!! . Overall, disappointing.
