schmidt bakery and cafe - Schwabach

Schmidt Bakery and Café is conveniently situated next to the Holiday Inn Express. As downtown Schwabach is on a challenging distance on foot, Schmidt comes to the rescue for a value for money dinner after a day in the car which terminates at the Holiday Inn Express. Schmidt is more than a bakery or café. The establishment is very versatile with a German bakery section, a section where you can order various sandwiches, rolls and pasta dishes, but there is also a section with a wood fired pizza oven. Inside is a spacious seating area, and there is also an outdoor seating area, popular when the weather is clement. We ordered both a tasty dish and a drink at the counter, however, when we enjoyed our food, we noticed that table service came slowly into operation; this had maybe to do with the start of the evening menu. It was confusing, but the food and drinks were OK and prices very reasonable. To be recommended.

Very busy cafe, but good food: cheeseburger with roasted potatoes, red-pepper soup with sour cream, spaghetti bolognese, mango sunday.

Well, I was a night in the hotel next to Schmidts and this hotel has no restaurant. So I got the recommendation for Schmidts. I had a pasta menu with fresh mushrooms (Penne Funghi). Well I had to wait a few minutes, so I was studiyng the weekly menue and figured out that the offer a great variety ...Well, the pasta arrived .... just wonderful and tasty ...

We enjoyed our dinner here. The menu has a lot of offerings. Would be great for kids because of such a variety. Huge portions and reasonably priced. Servers were super sweet and spoke English very well.

After staying at the hotel next door this place was convenient. Ended up eating here several times from the bakery and restaurant. Food was fresh, with a good variety to choose from. The menu had lots to choose from, and everything I had for appetizers, mains and deserts were all good.
