Oakridge Smoke House - Schulenburg

This place is just a lot of fun. Great theme with a humorous twist. When you walk in , you walk in a nice bakery and deli souvenir store. The restaurant entrance is in the back of the store and opens up to three back country style dining rooms. Although the buffet is not our style it was very busy. We had a great platter and platter means big brisket , sausage and baked potato dinner at a reasonable price. The service was very good. It 's definitely worth a stop by and right off the freeway. Yeeeee ha!

The breakfast is Buffay because $10 it's barely warm and when it's getting closer to the end of the breakfast time they rush you to get food but they don't want to offer you lunch The staff was rude I would never recommend this place to any one Christi the server was very rude also. Will not recommend this place in the near future.

We went to this large BBQ smokehouse restaurant . Really impressive signage. 11.95 for their all you can eat buffet..which tonight had sausages ,sauerkraut, fried chicken ,beans that tasted like someone spilled the sugar in them..carrots,corn,cornbread stuffing,gravy,dinner rolls, chocolate and vanilla puddings, scalloped type potatoes, plus an assortment of salad bar stuff, lettuce,tomatos,onions, carrots, eggs, etc. Also there was soup and bread pudding and peach cobbler..waitress was a sweetie..but unless you like eating cheap **** pudding that's dumped out of cans with fake whipped cream and boxed vanilla cookies stuck around the edge..chocolate pudding dumped out of cans ,you cant make peach cobbler any worse than that .... Honestly ..if you ARE NOT accustomed to eating good food...you will probably like it..if you are people who like GOOD FOOD.. DONT GO THERE FOR IT BECAUSE THEY HAVE ONLY A BIT OF SO SO FOOD ON THEIR BUFFET..PRETTY BAD..LAST BUT NOT FORGOTTEN WAS THEIR CASHIER..I THINK SHE ATE EVERY SOUR THING ..BECAUSE SHE WAS A GRUMPY GROUCHY FIGURE WHO DIDNT GIVE A RATS RUMP ABOUT ANYTHING EXCEPT GETTING YOUR MONEY. WHAT the heck..maybe she is like that because she ate the food . Try somewhere else..dont waste you time, appetite or money..this place should just go away..

Over priced, luke warm food and the bbq beef was dry....couldn't eat most of it. Waste of time.

Pretty decent comfort food. Neat little store as well.
