Kountry Bakery - Schulenburg

This is my first time actually here in person, however my grandmother always brought us kolaches from out of town when she came to visit. I finally got to make the trip to get some and they were exactly the same and did not disappoint! Huge wide selection of yummy treats. Loved it.

Omg...so good. Wanted more on Sunday but they are closed...sad ? but I get it...will definitely go again when in town.

Had a double meat jalapeno cheeseburger... The BEST Burger I've had in years!RECOMMENDED

We stopped in on a Saturday morning drive from Houston. It didn't look busy out front. We got inside and we were followed by a few others the drive thru window had a steady stream of customers. This is the place to grab some pigs in a blanket and so many other wonderful baked goods. We grabbed our stash and a coffee and sat out on the deck. People just kept coming and going, so you know this place has a loyal following. Everything tasted fresh. We tried pigs, the flat sausage and cheese rolls, fruit kolaches, and a chocolate croissant. No complaints whatsoever. We even went back in and grabbed some slices of pecan pie for later. Will definitely be stopping in again on our next drive through Schulenberg.

As i said to the owners, the best amount-of-food to price ratio ive seen in America by far and the pastry was amazing! Not to mention the extremely friendly and polite staff with whom we talked about their czech and possibly austrian ??? roots as well as the history of the town. If i didnt live half across the globe i’d be a regular customer!
