Guadalajara Mexican - Schulenburg

This Mexican restaurant, operated by a friendly family, is fantastic. The staff is attentive and welcoming. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. I ordered the Tilapia lunch special and my husband got the fajita lunch, both were excellent. We will definitely be returning!

Great homemade salsa and fresh chips. Enchilada (beef) was fresh and very tasty (worth the wait). Lunch buffet was also good, lettuce crispy, good cheese enchilidas.

I had a wonderful experience at this cozy, family-run restaurant. The staff was very welcoming and the food was delicious, especially the fajitas. Our waiter was attentive and bid us farewell as we left, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. I will definitely return to this fantastic restaurant.

We went to Guadalajara for a snack on Sunday afternoon. I ordered nachos and my husband had Jalisco tacos. The food was excellent! The service was good and the restaurant has been remodeled, which was a nice touch. The owner/manager personally came to our table to inquire about our experience and to thank us for dining there. It's unfortunate that Guadalajara doesn't get as much business as Lucy's, but I believe I know the reason why. Both TVs were showing soccer on a Sunday afternoon, which is game day in Texas. In Schulenburg, it is expected to have football on during football season, basketball during basketball season, and baseball during baseball season. Although many people enjoy soccer, it is not typically the preferred sport of Texans. I believe that if Guadalajara were to have soccer on the small TV and the sport in season on the big screen, they would see a significant increase in customers. The food at Guadalajara is actually better than Lucy's!

Seated quickly, fresh tasty salsa, average margaritas. Shrimp Enbrochette was delicious. Annoyed to be charged extra for tortillas.
