Hotel Restaurant Cafe - Schmitten

The restaurant am sandplacken has been located for decades on one of the most important exit points for hiking and long-run tours around the feldberg. on the sandplacken cross the paths between schmitten, feldberg and Oberursel.Since a while, the restaurant has new more pächter, which have supplemented the traditional good-bourgeois cuisine with Romanian specialties. who has fun in typical Eastern European cuisine is well-received here. and who has a lust for classic, petty-bourgeois dishes, such as forellen aus dem forellengut in the uppermost regions, does not come too short here.I had seen the Romanian herbs with polenta and more acid. very, very tasty and with 10.90 euro also quite inexpensive.A friend had the taunusforelle. well roasted, with delicious supplements. super! someone else from our round had the white carving of the calf. delicate meat, beautiful not too fat panade and quite large portion. chapeau! the restaurant offers two homemade limonades, one with ingwer and one with fruits of the season. very tasty, not too sweet and very refreshing.The service was also friendly and attentive. the somewhat extended waiting times were probably due to the high-time society and the many day guests who wanted to be served at the same time, at the most beautiful day of the year.The above mentioned good location of the restaurant also brings out the only real lack: since the terrace lies directly on the road at the sandplackenplateau, motor cyclists don’t miss the motorbikers with the motorbikers turned up. the lärm is a partially ohrenepending. Overall, I can recommend the restaurant sandplacken as a return station before or after a flight.

It has a very nice atmosphere and very good eating. it is a Romanian restaurant with Romanian and German cuisine. at the weekend they make dinner outside, especially Romanian. we will come back in any case :)

We were here to eat with 8 people. I guess we had a little bit bad with our food. the lamb chops were very tough. the 5 wavings were plentiful, but not my taste. the herbs from sour wort were not a sour wort as we know, but tasted our 2 guests. one has tried very hard to do justice to our critics, and has once again added 3 lamb chops (which were really better). service and service very nice. I am sure that we are good, but, as I said, we have had a little bit bad and need to get used.

The cafe sandplacken is a family-run, Romanian speciality local. on the crossing sandplacken is coming from above on the left side. in summer there is a large terrace, with huge grill

The wet is friendly and nice and always have for a chat. we are very happy to come here, because we like the seven bushes / Romanian cuisine!auberginenmus / fishrogen cream or meatcock soup to the ante*Mititei* ( chopmeat violets) / sarmale (sauerkraut wrap) our main dishes papanasch (fried quarkrings) and *Dobosch* cakes again to the dessert and we go back to the kitchen!
