Bad Am See Gmbh - Schmerikon

Eine wunderschöne Lokalität an bester Lage. Eines meiner Lieblings-Fischrestaurants. Die Gerichte sind kreativ und einzigartig, und natürlich hervorragend. Die Menschen dahinter sind mit Leidenschaft dabei.

Der wunderschöne Betrieb am Obersee hat uns einmal mehr begeistert. Frau Kälin Reiter im Restaurant sowie Herr Reiter in der Küche machen seit Jahren einen ausgezeichneten Job. Hier fühlen wir uns wohl. Die Preise, sicher etwas höher als in einer Pizzeria, sind absolut gerechtfertigt. Die Qualität der verwendeten Produkte stimmt und auch die servierten Portionen sind grosszügig bemessen. Natürlich ist im Bad am See immer Fisch angesagt, diesmal Felchen Halb/Halb für meine Frau und Felchen mit frischen Eierschwämmen für mich. Die BAG Auflagen wurden zu 100% umgesetzt hier fühlen wir uns sicher. Gut gestärkt und einmal mehr mit einer positiven Erfahrung im Rucksack traten wir unseren Rückmarsch nach Rapperswil an.

Nur ein paar Worte erforderlich ... herzlicher Empfang, schönes gemütliches Ambiente, ausgezeichneter Service und ein absolutes Muss für Fischliebhaber ... wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

The great location of this restaurant made us go in there, quite spontaneously, sitting on there lovely terrace directly over the lake with a view over to the mountains and the little villages on the other side... so beautiful we had lunch, but it had been such a busy day for them , that service and kitchen were not coping all friendly and really trying there best, so we were relaxed and were waiting to place the order, to get the drinks, to get the food, to get the table cleaned and get the bill.happens but unfortunately the food was not too well, pity because if that would have been alright i would not have rated as a poor restaurant.... the fish was overdone, hard, the greens and the salad seemed to be od and oh well, we left half of it and rather enjoyed the view overpriced regarding the poor food quality we will come back at another day, when we think it will not be that full but with this exquisit location?...we try

This beautiful restaurant is located about 200m from the railway station Schmerikon at Obersee. Surprisingly enough you can reach this place in less than one hour by train from Zurich Central. From Schmerikon there are two ships (I think one at 12:00 and another one at around 15:00 that go as far as Zurich and there are trains every 30 minutes to get back to Zurich via rapperswil. In our case, we first had a 14 km walk from Rapperswil along side the lake Obersee to Schmerikon (Obersee-Uferweg . It took about 3 hours and it was really lovely. There were some mannerless bikers on the way but generally this hiking course with panorama view is highly recommendable. After the lunch we took train to go back to Zurich. The restaurant has a terrace on the lake but the inside of the restaurant (Fischerstube is also nice that we stayed in most of the time . The meal was served by two local ladies, who were friendly and professional. There are some meat dishes which are not bad either but I recommend fish from the lake (during the offseason the fish can be imported from other European countries . My wife had pike fish cooked with apple sauce and I had pike deep fried with assorted vegetables. We chose local white wine i.e. RieslingxSilvaner to go with. Pike was fresh from the lake of Zurich. In the village of Schmerikon you will not find many restaurants so you should reserved your table in advance.
