We went there for lunch during the week and hence benefited from the great offers this restaurant has: the dish of the day was salmon with mashed potatoes and a great deal for 6,50€. I had the March menu (a beet soup, beef with vegetables and potatoes as well a dessert for 16,50€). The food was good but not amazing. I recommend looking up the dish of the day beforehand and if you what they offer on that day, go there. We found the 3 course menu not that good and a bit overpriced in comparison to the fish of the day. They do have a diaper changing table and high chairs for little ones. Our daughter even got a kids themed napkin.
We enjoyed a delicious piece of cake, black forest and almond walnut, with our coffee on the 26th floor rooftop restaurant. Our vacation rental was on the 19th floor.
This is an excellent restaurant to take visitors to. the view is fantastic! The food is okay, but certainly not gourmet! Basic cuisine, perhaps a bit old fashioned, but the prices are reasonable and the view is priceless! There is truth that part of the joy of the view is that it is the only place in Schleswig where you CAN'T see the Wikingerturm!
Having arrived on a week day night with no reservation we were, however, seated at a window with a full view of the Schlei in the dusk. We chose the menu of the month which was fine and inexpensive but also a little boring with baked cauliflower dumplings, fine trout and a bit of a strange desert.
