The staff are all friendly and attentive and some of them speak English. As a rule though the food is on the mild side to cater for the German palate. If you like it hot then you will have to ask for it to be spiced up a bit. I go for flavour rather than heat so it suits me fine. I took my daughter and boyfriend who were visiting from the UK and we all really enjoyed our meals. I can recommend the Roti wholemeal bread, it was delicious and a nice alternative to Nan bread. You need to book a table if you want to go on the weekend.
Super restaurant with excellent Silver Service - and wonderful atmosphere both for those who want to be intimate or for a family gathering. The food is excellent and authentic with real Indian spices -for those with a weak tongue regarding spices or those who don't want the 'original' it's not for you. But the taste of wonderful spices and a little of the 'hot' made our meal most enjoyable.
Credit is due to the quality of the food served at the Taj Mahal. The breadth of the menu is obviously not as wide as you might expect in Great Britain but it is sufficiently broad enough to entertain on a first visit. Unfortunately, the quality of the service needs quite a lot of humour to be admired. It was a Saturday evening and the novelty of this first Indian restaurant in Pfaffenhofen is still attracting a large and curious audience. Nevertheless we had barely removed our coats and sat down before being pressed for a drinks order, quickly followed by requests for our food order, three times in quick succession. We had opted for two courses and were disappointed to see the main meals on the table before we had all finished with the first course - fast food was not what we were looking for. At the end of the meal we shared our experience with, (whom I assume was), the proprietor who made some hurried excuses about how busy the restaurant was. Not a good sign when his problem is somehow manifesting into mine.In summary, I've ticked this particular box and no need to revisit it again. If I want fast food I'll visit the franchises. If I want curt service I'll stick with Paris.
Very delicious really and I have a real comparison after india because I am very often professional there I love Indian food and taj mahal cuisine is perfect delicious
We sat in the open door last night and started wonderfully. as well as mains were delicious, the service as always, optimal. what we like especially well are the hospitality and personal attention.
