Maoz Falafel Grill - Schaumburg

Maoz is one of the best dining spots in Woodfield Mall and has recently become my favorite place for falafel. The service is top-notch; the young woman at the counter is friendly and courteous, and she genuinely seems to enjoy her job. However, I should mention that the food can be a little dry at times. The drinks are pre-made, and both the meat and falafel are prepared in advance, giving it a vibe reminiscent of a Mediterranean version of Subway. That being said, it definitely exceeds typical dining options in Schaumburg. The pitas are kept warm, and the fries are made fresh to order. They are generous with the toppings, and one sandwich is more than enough to satisfy my hunger. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quick and tasty food in the Schaumburg area.

The staff is consistently rude regardless of the time of day. They seem disinterested in assisting customers and are often preoccupied with their cell phones. I ordered the chicken wings combo on two different occasions, but both times it was out of stock. During one of those visits, the waiter/cashier saw me waiting in line but just walked to the back and never came back.

I ordered a fresh fruit smoothie, but what I got was just a sugary liquid with ice in a cup. It was far too sweet to be considered a real fresh fruit smoothie. I'm not impressed.

Food was tasteless. The keep the gyros soaking in grease water. And my sandwich was greasy bc of it

Update: Manager responded to review within minutes saying to reach out to his email then does not even respond, poor service…..Staff was rude and closed early then told everyone in the line that they were out of food to get them out of the line, when we got to the cashier they said same thing to us, we are out of food, we can’t make smoothies because it’s to late and we have to wash the machines , then said we are out of bread and it would take 15 min to make fresh , did not even offer a bowl I had to ask. Then the gyro was served cold and in a puddle of fat/grease , very disappointed at this location , love the Rosemont location but will never come to this one again. Also paid cash and they did not even give me a receipt so I can’t even prove I was there. Very poor service
