Here you can shave wonderfully with a view of the Ifinger. The food is very good and the service is very friendly. Very recommended are the press dumplings with Krautsalat and the acidic beef.

Very good Kaiserschmarrn with applemus, with currant juice choir. Perfect after the ascent from the Taser cable car. WC available. Staff very friendly.

If I were sure this is paradise I would not be afraid to die anymore.... From above Merano we take the cable car to the Taser mountain hut, from which the panorama of Merano and the surrounding valleys is beautiful. The hut is equipped for children, with playground and animals. We walk through a small and picturesque church and head towards the Picco Ivigna refuge (Ifingerhutte). After a short walk, a bit tiring towards the end, you arrive and we can rest on the 'fresh grass, just under the Ivigna peak (2500 meters). On the crest you can see the pasture of horses, the feeling is of peace and calm, despite the festive presence of so many people. The refuge is located on the wooded slope and furnished in typical Tyrolean style. The smell of the wood, herbs and wood of which the structure is built makes us look typically familiar and welcoming. In the shade we welcome and taste fresh beer, sliced and typical cheeses, to finish with a sumptuous strudel. A dream. The only problem is that when we pay we do not accept the ATM. Yet I had called a couple of hours before, on the number of the refuge we find on Tripadvisor and a person had answered me that I could pay with the card. But no one here knows anything about it. I don't know. However very kindly they give me a note on which they write the amount to pay and the bank for the transfer. Gentle, polite. I recommend this walk, not challenging, for all families, even with small children.
