This place is fantastic. eating is excellent, we had steak-pie and sampi served with domestic chips. great service and value.
Beautiful ambiente, friendly staff, unfortunately not matched with the eating. the carousel says he is served from 12:00 a.m. and you expect it to be at least warm enough if not hot at 12.15 when we got it. that was not the case., the plates were not heated, the roasted potatoes tepid, if cut, cauliflower and cold, flower cabbage and broccoli cheese also watery and the yorkshire pudding and filling overcooked and luke warm. the bark tasted nice, but was very thin, so quickly went to the unarmed dish cold. very dissappointing like his long time since we have been eating there and are not in a hurry to go back. real shande, as was looking forward to a beautiful Sunday roast.
We loved this pub, such a great atmosphere. we had luck getting a table for six, but the lunch break just came to an end. we all ordered baguettes of different fillings, all came with salat and a baptism made to house...chips exactly what we needed after a long walk. black sheep special was the beer above that was enjoyed by the men in our party. beautiful things.
The location is superb. We walked down through the woods to the beach and waterfall before walking back up to the inn. The staff were were very friendly and helpful. The beer was lovely and the food was excellent. I had mussels which were cooked...in wine and garlic with cream and served with lots of crusty warm bread, some of the best mussels I have ever eaten. My wife had lamb shank which was really tender served with crispy roast potatoes , vegetables and onion gravy. Magnificent. Well done to all.
