Calvino's Cafe - Scarborough

If you enjoy tasteless bread in your panini, then you must try this place. The coffee is good and the staff is friendly, but they may need to work on their visibility. The menu needs a serious overhaul as the bread is terrible. It has been four years since they last updated and the only new additions are a few missing sofas. Overall, the food is easy to enjoy and a winner, but with the uncertain future of the university, it's doubtful that this place will survive with most of their workers gone.

I visited this restaurant for a meeting and decided to have a meal. I ordered a panini, which I didn't know how it was prepared, but it turned out to be soggy and tasteless. The atmosphere was lacking as well.

Thanks to its student pricing, this restaurant manages to offer some of the lowest prices in Scarborough for both drinks and hot meals. Additionally, it hosts open mic nights on Tuesdays and other evenings, along with various drink specials like pints.
