Byways - Scarborough

Telephoned to book a table for 5:15 o'clock and it was said there would be no need to book. arrived, sat, ordered, waited....and waited.and waited. After 50 minutes we asked someone and said it was 5 minutes more. overall an hour waited for 2 burgers and chips. eating was okay, but was still hungry and didn't really want it. we were not the only ones waiting forever. at least one other table asked where her food was. a waitress had a face like thunder and was thrown around under tables. try to find a contact to complain, but there is only one feedback form on the website. I don't hear anything back, but they won't see me again. very disappointing.

A table for 18.30...... at 18.10 clock ordered drinks on the bar and sat down to the reserved table. staff very helpful. order the food and let an hour wait. no fish or sampi broken as deep fat friteuse and they will not get new. 3. place now. gammon ordered. large plate. with an egg, not ananas, but extra ei. bacon cheeseburger. mac n käse. chicken sizzler south fried on stick chips n char sui sauce. no sign yet. two tables came in after us and had and eaten. the sohn asked. obviously we're the next one, so we waited. 20 minutes later it came to eat. burger first with cold chips. gammon no ei, which always and cold drown. mac n-cheese, not wait an hour, finally leaving half of it. chicken bark. bethun.. not southern fried. wow. waits for two eggs. hell only 1 should be with the gammon but apparently the computer should not distinguish between ei and ananas. omg. won't be the locals. what an embarrassment. No one asked if it was okay. they knew that eating was not good. think twice when this was their choice of the meal....the pub was not even busy. the busy were gone. only we starve, wait for food. never again. new management. wow!

We have tried to eat twice in the last week in this pub, there were no food anymore because of the problems with delivery and the second time that we arrive tonight to say that the kitchen is closed to 7 because of the staff.

I visited twice the week with my children. the pub has a great atmosphere and is favorable. eating was really nice, the beer was nice and the service was great. there is also a children's playground, and a good sun protection beer...Garden I visited here several times when I was on vacation, it had a real upswing since I last visited.

We waited over a hour for our meal, when it eventually arrived the veg was cold and the meat was tough, no mash , only roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding which were edible, sorry but won’t be going again
