Good portion of veal with mushrooms and onions and just enough tomato sauce to top ot off. Great flavour and good value. Eat-in (counter) or take out, either way you can't go wrong.
Good authentic veal use the right bun Chicken good don't miss this place in Scarborough taste is just like college street
Do not be put off by look of place , excellent made in front of you veal, chicken and steak sandwich. They are always running out of food. Owners are lovely friendly double. Cannot wait for their bigger new location.
Our regular restaurant wasn't very accommodating for our early lunch order so we tried Primo... it was PRIMO!! :-) Our order was hot and ready for pickup as requested. Both the veal and chicken sandwiches were HUGE and tasty. The hot pasta was cooked to perfection with a nice red sauce. Thanks for making us a happy bunch.
You can drive by Primo Veal without even noticing it's there. Be aware that you are not supposed to park in the street. Do not park in the back alley as there are not many parking spots and the space is quite tight - park in front of the strip mall where the parking lot is.Primo Veal is pretty much a take out place. When busy, the small area gets very crowded. The veal sandwiches are made fresh to order with about 4-5 toppings to choose from. You can get your veal dunked in the home made sauce (recommended) or have it drizzled on top. At $6.49 it's not cheap but you do get a heavy, yummy sandwich - decent value.Only 2 salads at $6.49 each - Italian or Ceasar. The salads are not outstanding however you do get a large portion, enough for two. The pastas are the same price and again you get a portion big enough for two. The home made sauce (tomato, no meat) and portion size are the only good things about the pastas.Suggest that you get the combo for $13 - your choice of sandwich, salad or pasta and one drink (can of pop). Ask them to cut the sandwich in half. This combo is big enough for 2 people and both will not be hungry afterwards. Don't eat in as there are only a handful of chairs in front of a counter - take it out and enjoy. The staff are friendly and will try to get your order done up as quickly as they can. Good portions and delicious, fresh veal makes this spot a good take out place.
