You will be served by the husband and owner. Nice quiet man with a delightful sense of humour. His wife does the cooking. It's AWESOME.Don't call them German. She isn't German, but it's schnitzel like my mother used to make. We go about once a month. Owner recognizes us when we come in, and we don't even have to tell him what our order is. He already knows.
We have had schnitzel in Markham, east of Yonge, west of Yonge and basically anywhere we could find it. This is, by far, the best schnitzel in town. The cabbage rolls are delicious too. Have enjoyed the goulash soup, herring appetizer and red cabbage and mushroom sides. The owners are wonderful people who are caring and passionate about what they are serving which is reflected in their food. Food is reasonably priced which makes it great to return often.
Small, cozy run by a pleasant couple. Some of the best goulash in the city and good portion size. Helps warm one up on a cold wintery day.
We have dined at this restaurant many times over the last five years. Although the menu is limited, the food is tasty and the portions plentiful. Our favourite dish is the Hunter Schnitzel served with the potatoes or spatzle (little dumplings). The restaurant is very small, but cozy. The desserts look good however we always seem to be too full to enjoy them. This reasonably priced restaurant is highly recommended.
