Shields Ave Cafe - Scarborough

Went here around 9am on a Saturday morning for breakfast.Not overly busy with only a few rabies occupied. Very friendly and prompt service.Coffee was reasonable. Poached eggs and scrambled eggs were very good.Reasonably priced for what you get.Nice to visit a little bit away from the main Redcliffe commercial area.

It is great to look out over the park while having a good coffee and or lovely food. Family and visitor thoroughly enjoyed...

I remember going here over 20years ago when it was a corner store. Now it is 4 times the size. $8.50 for a huge bowl of chips. I really liked it. There is cold water, nice little vintage touches, lots of places to chain your bike to. An outside table for sitting if you have a dog but you are off to the side. Lots of tables and chairs, bi-folds open allowing a lovely breeze to come in, relaxed atmosphere compared to the water frontage coffee shops...and I sure will visit again after my next bike ride. Menu varied and I saw $14.50 for flounder and salad with $3.00 for chips. Sounds nice! Also, ice-creams available after a nice ride/ walk and lots of cold drinks. The ice coffees, green tea or macha milk and cream took my fancy for next time.

Lovely relaxing place to enjoy a coffee with friends or family. Open dining area on large balcony in comfortable seating.

Had a lazy Sunday lunch here and was impressed. Service was quite quick, considering how many customers were in, staff were friendly. Tasty food and plenty to choose from on the menu. Price was reasonable too.
