I have no dramas waiting for food, just be upfront about it! So we all ate our food and was very very ordinary to put it nicely! Very bland and my husband said it was the worst thai he's ever had!The worst part is that everyone who ate there had diahorea the next day! Really would not recommend eating here! Service was not great either!
I went two times with my family in an attempt to use a good food voucher. First time they were just closing up at 6:30pm on a Friday night because they "decided to have an early night". They were still finishing some orders but wouldn't make us a thing despite me letting them know that we had driven 45 minutes to get there. We checked their website and Facebook page for opening hours before making the trip to ensure they'd be open. We happened to be in the area about a month later and still had the voucher. We went again only to be told that they had "a big order and there's no way we can make you anything. Plus even if we could we've run out of containers". After bitterly complaining and telling them about the voucher we were just trying to spend we got told "it wouldn't matter anyway because you can't use that voucher on the lunch menu" If you're thinking of going, please, go anywhere else. I've never come across a business that was so disorganised and rude to their customers.
Atrocious service & absolute rip off. $58 for inedible food & we were made to pay despite talking to the owner directly. So much for supporting local restaurants
We just moved to the area and saw a group on deal for Old Town Thai. We didn't read the trip advisor reviews and I'm glad we didn't. It's obvious that this is a small family business. Prices were very generous but the food was delicious. We loved the dried chilli chicken! Yes, service was slower than some other places; however the staff did not stop. They were friendly and welcoming. It's clear from the decor and attitude of the staff that they have put a lot of work into this restaurant and we will certainly be returning- much rather support a small business than one of the conglomerates out there.Keep it up!
On arrival, no one greeted us, place had 3 out of say 12 tables filled. Eventually a girl dressed very casually came and asked how she could help. Sat us down, and was presented with a kids drawing book struck with a few pages of drinks menu inside. Chairs were cheap plastics and one of us had to sit on a stool with no back. Straight away very uncomfortable reception and environment. The place is dark, patched with tons of special offers everywhere - $5 lunch..... makes it look cheap and tatty. Baby girl started crying behind the counter. Makes place feel like maccas. Food menu was cheap A4 printed black and white laminated, price on menu extremely expensive comparing to the $5 special lunches they promote. Had springrolls for starters, and green curry and rice as main. Curry was salty, rice not thoroughly cooked. Isn't even home cook standard and portions were small. Asked waiter for water, she screamed out loud that she is busy and is serving another customer. Looks like a husband and wife with no cooking experience nor understanding of customer service. Will never return and suggests no one to either. This place will be closed in no time.
