Lime Mexican Sawtell

I wish I could have reviewed the food but were not given the chance, we got there before 8pm on A Wednesday as the closing time on the website said closing time was 9pm we knew we had time to order and have a quick meal. As we approached the restaurant the tables outside were put away, the waiter didn't look happy to see us standing in front of the restaurant and didn't approach us, we had to walk in and basically chase him as he was ignoring us. We wanted to confirm if the closing time was actually 9:00pm and if we could order, in a very dismissive manner he said there was no sitting allowed that we could order take away and wait outside,we asked if they actually closed at 9:00pm he said yes so we asked why we couldn't sit down and eat a meal if they didn't close until nine it didn't make sense as there was other people around having their meals inside,he said we are closed so we were absolutely gobsmacked as he was contradicting himself. Appauling customer service from the person supposedly bringing customers for the restaurant, we will never go back again. Not to worry two doors up we had fantastic food,service and jazz music at The Spare room where we were greeted and welcomed from the minute we stood in front of their venue, we would recommend not waisting your time at this Joint and try the Spare room.

We stayed one night in Sawtell and this place was recommended. We brought our dog and were seated outside. It was great. Food was amazing. Staff were friendly. Music and atmosphere were perfect. We had the scallops for starters, fish tacos and pulled pork nachos for mains. Highly recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
