Vicks - Savannah

Out of the 5 restaurants we visited, Vik's was the best. We enjoyed all of them, but we will definitely be returning to Vik's for its great ambiance, professional service, and delicious dishes.

I ordered the French Onion Soup and found it to be excessively salty, so I had to send it back. For my main course, I chose the Pecan Crusted Flounder, but it turned out to be too sweet for my taste, so I also had to send that back. The food took over 30 minutes to arrive, and the restaurant did not compensate us for the long wait. While the food arrived warm, it was not hot. Overall, it was a very disappointing dining experience.

The atmosphere at Vic's is unparalleled - very romantic and a standout on Savannah's River Street. However, the dining experience during this visit was disappointing compared to our previous experience. I ordered the pork chop, which had good flavor but was a bit tough. My fiancée ordered the scallops and risotto, but the scallops were excessively seasoned and overcooked, resulting in the risotto being much saltier than usual. Perhaps it was due to our late reservation at 8:30, but I had expected better overall quality. Our server was understanding and prompt, which improved the overall experience.

Beautiful restaurant in front of the River Some food great and some other average to us. Needed to cancel a wine bottle after long time waiting for it, the longest ever in any of the Res I have visited

Such a fantastic experience here at Vic’s. The fried green tomato appetizers were the best we ever had. I had the lump crab cakes which were fantastic, all crabmeat . My husband had the halibut, outstanding. Beautiful bar, excellent piano player, such a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere. Excellent service!
