Peach french toast, roasted potatoes, fried egg, bacon, and an omelette. The french toast and potatoes were very good. Everything else was ok: either lacking in flavor or didn't taste freshly cooked. This is a cash only restaurant and there is an ATM available.
The band was great. It took forever to get drinks and food ordered. I felt like the server was doing her best and could definitely have used some help. Grits were cold. Biscuit was ridiculously large. Expensive…The bathroom had a huge pile of water ? in the corner. No toilet paper or paper towels. Eew. Savannah local here, I’ll never go back.
A friend and I decided to have brunch at Two Cracked Eggs on River Street, Saturday (9/2/23). We walked in and waited approximately 10-15mins. to be seated. I am just saying when a Caucasian couple came up that is when a waitress approached. She attempted to seat us at the table under the stairs which we declined. There was an empty table that we stated we wanted to sit. The waitress stated that they would not allow her to switch the tables (made no sense). So a table was cleaned and we sat next to a Black couple who was already seated before we arrived. I looked up and saw that the Caucasian couple was seated at the table we requested. So, I informed my friend and said ok, I will let that go. When I looked up again, I saw the waitress taken the Caucasian couple 's order. We asked the Black couple who was there when we arrived if their order had been taken and they stated no. We all got up and left. I feel that the waitress was discriminatory and that management should be aware of the people they have working for them to address those issues. I regret not speaking to the manager before leaving.
Worst service I have ever received in a restaurant. We stood at the entrance for a time, and decided to ask if we could seat ourselves at the small bar in the back. We were told yes, and we did. Immediately, a waitress greeted us and got our drinks. We ordered food and received it with no issues. Then, who I assume are the managers, walked in. They pulled our waitress outside and scolded her for taking care of us, and she walked out on the spot. Then, another waitress told one of the managers that he was embarrassing and she was also considering leaving. After she left, no one helped us for the rest of our time. We left money on the counter and walked out. If you are considering eating or working here beware.
The staff was nice, but the experience was ruined by the cooks cleaning the grill 80 minutes before closing. The smell in the air and the burning sensation in the eyes and throat. It was like an assault on the senses. My waitress said the cooks are jot “ supposed to “ clean the grill until after closing, but they did it anyway. Rules and customer service guidelines are created for a reason. I felt bad for the 3 tables who had to eat in that toxic, eye burning air. I will not he back.
