Spanky's Pizza Galley Saloon - Savannah

Wow, just the best chicken! A great atmosphere with very friendly and helpful staff. Our first time in Savanna and that was our first meal? the bar up.. so good. I recommend the pecan pie, the perfect way to finish a wonderful meal??

This restaurant is located by the river and features both a bar and dining area. I started with a mushroom appetizer, which was fantastic and full of flavor. However, I was disappointed with my shrimp and fish dish, as it lacked seasoning and taste. Even the fries were bland. I had to rely on the tartar and cocktail sauces to add some flavor, which improved the meal slightly. Additionally, we had to wait over an hour for our food. On a positive note, our server was lovely and attentive, doing her best to assist us.

This is a great spot to relax by the River Street waterfront. The restaurant features charming old wooden stands and tables, and offers a selection of cold drinks. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I tried the Oodles, which is a bit surprising since some bars don’t offer non-alcoholic beer. I also ordered the chicken fingers served with their special home-style potatoes, which are ground, broken, and fried. While the food was moist and flavorful, it didn’t have the crispiness I prefer in fried items. Overall, it’s a nice, peaceful escape from the bustling crowds of tourists along the riverwalk.

What an incredible restaurant! We came in for the pizza, but we were really impressed by two things: our waitress Hannah's outstanding service and the delicious Spuds and Chicken Fingers! They were fantastic. The mushrooms and fried shrimp were also excellent! The Mac n Cheese hit the mark as well! As for the pizza, it was just okay. The crust is really important to me, and this one was pretty average, though the pizza itself had good flavor. We ordered the sausage pizza, and it was tasty.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. The food was great. My son had the chicken fingers with the honey horseradish sauce. I had blackened chicken and steamed veggies. The waitress asked if I wanted a sauce to dip my veggies in and I got the creamy horseradish. The interior was quite cool as you can tell it is an old building. The waitress saw me taking photos and told me one of the paintings was on a repurposed fence. Great food, service and location.
