Good Times Jazz - Savannah

To celebrate my birthday, Sunday-August 14, we went to the Good Times Jazz Bar and Restaurant for Sunday Brunch. This is my second visit and I was not disappointed. We had a last minute reservation so our party of 5 could not sit on the same table, but we sat nearby. Three of us sat at the bar and at a table for two. 21 and older, must show your ID. When my ID was scanned, it made a strange sound and the hostess wished me a happy birthday, so it was nice. R. was the live entertainer and she never disappointed. She deals with the audience and I love the variety of songs. Everyone in the room is recognized, where are you from? Everyone sings happy birthday for you and all special celebrations are recognized. Now we're talking about the food. Listen, I was in the mood for a community record, which means I wanted a little of everything - not judge me. The Chowder was so good!!!! I also ordered shrimps and grits-this dish was tasteful, not too salty and perfect temperature. I didn't eat the cookies, but my family loved them. The bartenders made sure our glasses were refilled. Clean restaurant, friendly service, great entertainment and good food.

This place was highly recommended, unfortunately we missed the live jazz, but the food was phenomenal. Many great choices and hearty portions. I'm glad we have a great tip at this place I can come by.

First timer. Served for lunch and savouring their shrimps. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! The best I ever had! Very savory and the bacon in the plate added so much. Very recommended! Place is very clean and service was great. Plan to return to the show next time for dinner.

Excellent food, very friendly service. We loved everything we ordered, but especially the seafood. Some of the best Shrimps and Grits we have tasted so far. I had a really tasty salad with shrimps. Delicious peach cobbler. Would love to comeback for an evening with jazz music.

Wonderful place!! I attended the Gospel Brunch this past Sunday and it was awesome! We were treated like family from the time we stepped in the door until we walked out. The performer was superb!! The food was seasoned to perfection and delicious. I had the fried catfish I looove that they fry it in cornmeal! there should be no other way) butter beans w/okra, mac and cheese and, candied yams. It was so good I danced in my seat, and to think it couldn't get any better I warmed up my leftovers when I got home and it was still wonderful. Our waitress Theysia was hilarious, kind and warm. She took great care of us. Make yourself a reservation and eat until your heart is content.
