Driftaway Cafe - Savannah

Had no good experience first. the workers sat us and several employees went past us and helped us table next to us. as the only people of the color in the restaurant we hoped that this was not the reason why others were helped first. rachel finally came to our table and apologized and said she noticed that we had no drinks (15 minutes.) many thanks for their wonderful service and would give her a 5 review! eating is average.

Stopped for lunch and had the fish sandwich which was very good. Large piece of fish that was cooked very well with French fries. My wife’s choice of corn beef hash was less impressive as there were numerous pieces of corn black beans and peppers and cheese mixed in it that apparently had been on the grill when her meal was prepared. Waitress was nice and kept our drinks filled.

Great place, great staff, great food! Always my favorite place! Fish tacos was my selection yesterday! Never disappointed!

Amazing food and service. We visit weekly! Outstanding family that run this hidden gem in Sandfly. Don’t miss an opportunity to visit!

Our experience has been mixed. We liked the Pecan Chicken Salad, the Sandfly Seafood Platter and the Key Lime Pie. The Fried Green Tomatoes did not taste well (I had them in a few different restaurants before). I liked the decorations in the restaurant.
