Service in this location was horrible. It was my first time, and was looking at the menu to see what to orden, since I'd never been here, and the lady was rushing me. It was 11pm, and they close at 4am, so they weren't near closing yet. After I order all (we were 4), there was some sides missing (2 to be exact) and 1 drink missing. I can say, some of the food was good, other didn't get my expectation. Want to return other day, maybe to another location, and early.
Came thru at 3am like the true G's they are. Late night options are non-existent on the Southside now so I really appreciate them being open as late as they are! Service is great employees are great food was great; 11/10 would recommend.Parking: Plenty and spacious.
I usually have good experiences at Cook Out, earning it the 3 stars, but my last visit was the worst. A few days ago, I received a burger with two strands of hair in it. Luckily I didn’t drive all the way home before opening my box and the hair was visible before I bit into it. I would have been highly upset if I had to pull someone else’s hair strands out of my mouth!I was just across the street so I returned the food and asked for a refund. The cashier who said she was the manager was very unapologetic about the situation then tried to short my refund. My food was $8.50 and I was handed back $6. I’m like no, my food was $8.50 AND had hair in it. I was still shorted, handed back $8.04 in total. She seemed to be “distracted” by the business. I wasn’t offered an apology or to have my food remade but I didn’t think it’d be wise to reorder after that whole scenario.I’m not sure how restaurants are still serving food with hair in it. What happened to hair nets? At this point, food service employees need to have their heads fully wrapped. This doesn’t make any sense.
I got off work late. Really wanted to enjoy a burger. Instead, I got in the slow lane in drive through because an employee is training. Cool, whatever, sometimes you gotta live with it, but I did not appreciate a manager withholding food I already payed for, threatening to call the cops if I did not correct my attitude. What did I do wrong? Taking a picture of the cashier in charge of handing out food using her phone in disposable gloves in-between handing out food. My p.o.v was she is contaminating all of the bags with that practice. My wife works in the field and sees a lot of malpractice in kitchens. This is unhealthy safety and over aggressive management. A bunch of bull for a small buck but alot of time. Don 't waste your money.
