When someone from the south I would have to say that these were some of the best shrimps and grits I've ever had. The Gries were rich and creamy. The rest of the plate was perfectly seasoned. Children had chicken pliers that were very well cooked, not hard as rocks like typical restaurants. The Pommes also had a great season on them. Cocktails were good and the service was great!! I would recommend and return.
I was definitely surprised by this place. Our server (I cannot remember her name, but she was tall and blond), was extremely knowledgeable and gave great recommendations on the menu. It was the first time I had ever eaten swordfish and it was absolutely delicious. The cheeses my wife ordered with her meal were the best we've ever eaten. I paid more in a place on the street and got much less quality than the food here. Bravo, Boars Head!
O.M. Goodness!!!! The shrimps and grits, the shrimps and grits... phenomenal! We came in 30 minutes before she finished lunch and Deb was so inviting. The decor is warm and lets you feel like a part of the river bank. The food was...no words describe the taste, texture and joy appropriate! I was sad when my plate was clean. Very recommended to come to Boar's Head Grill Tavern and see for yourself.
If you visit Savannah or live here, I highly recommend this place! This is one of the best burgers I've ever had. My husband also loved his food! The service was unbelievable that they set us right away! Our waiter has also checked us a lot. It was on the higher price side, but we'll be worth it!
I just say this a must eat place while you're visiting the waterfront of Savannah Georgia. The atmosphere and the food were amazing. Had to sit at the bar before was able to eat. Ead able to sample some of the local draft here. Got their amber ale and it was very delicious and smooth. I must say that this burger they have was very delicious. The menu is a bit pricey. I also got to sample their famous shrimp and grits and must say that was amazing and see why it's their most popular meal. Also their Jack Daniel's pecan pie is to die for. I would highly recommend and would definitely eat here for on my next trip to Savannah.
