French Coffee Shop - Saumur

This is a high spec coffee place with a dab hand at dressing up its coffees too. The 'cappuccino ' is rather imaginative with whipped cream, but in fact, it was very good the coffee strong enough to take the confection. Service was warm and welcoming (and in both French and English) and very competent i was with five adult students on a studitur and our orders were handled with aplomb. They also do a solely lunch bagel service that i sampled on a second visit. The bagels were proper and the fillings generous. Very good i would go back again! Over all, this comes highly recommended.

I find the French seem to like 'light and lively' (i.e. acidic) coffee. Not here! Nicely balanced and well-crafted coffees abound! I had a small americano, my partner a mocha. Both were very good, needing no sugar. They didn't have fat-free or reduced-fat milk, but the barista asked if we wanted the whipped cream removed, which is how the mocha is typically made.The establishment was well-furnished and clean, and the service friendly. We plan to return for another fix tomorrow!

Saumur isn't short of cafes but this is my favourite. By the second visit the barrista remembered our names! Good coffee, freshly squeezed juices and cakes. Spotless and fully disabled toilet too. Recommended.

I'm not sure what to say about this place other than, nice staff terrible coffee. Their idea of Cappuccino is coffee with Squirty cream on top. Absolutely ghastly.

You may roll your eyes, but for those of us looking for American coffee (think Starbucks but way better) this is the place to visit. Wonderful speciality coffees.
