Canadian Motor Hotel - Sault Ste. Marie

I have breakfast here once or twice a month I can't believe that more people haven't discovered there special 2 sausage 2 bacon eggs home fires and 2 toast for $6 service is always great and lots of big screen with news or sports playing

The Canadian used to be a great place for having a drink and bite to eat with friends. A casual bar/restaurant with good food (famous for its wings) and amazing service. We used to pop-in for salad lunches at least once a week.The last two visits, though, something changed - it seemed to go from some of the best hospitality ever, to rude, inattentive servers. One evening, our waitress disappeared. We waited 30 before finally asking a different waitress to help take our food orders. She said no, and told us to find our own server. We did find the original waitress who was then nasty. Considering we were polite (we're a pretty compassionate crew), it was just not alright. We've never gone back.Maybe we'll try again in a few more months. Hopefully it will be like it used to be...

Went for a night out with friends (Saturday) ... surprisingly not busy at all. Decided to try something different and ordered provides and cabbage rolls. Food took a long time, considering the none crowd. Provides seemed under cooked and warm at best, cabbage rolls were hot. Ran out of both local draft beers - not sure whose fault that would be?Server was friendly and competent ... but should have stuck with the wings or pizza.

This place doesn't look like much from the outside but inside, the pub was huge and supplied a lunch of great food served hot. We had the wings and a pint, both good;) Wait staff was quick and friendly. Glad we stopped in.

First time here in many years as this place is widely used as a hotel, eatery, and bar.Its a well recognized multi purpose establishment in the Sault that has been around for years and certainly the age is evident in the bar and restaurant area. The owners are very visible, friendly and make everyone welcome.This particular visit there were 13 of us for breakfast and the excellent service was very evident.I would say the breakfast options are good offering omelettes, wraps etc etc. The only negative i have and this is parr for the course here in the Sault that the home fries that come with most of the items are just plain....what about some onions?Overall good breakfast.
