Beachside Cottages - Sauble Beach

Stayed the first week of August in the 5 bedroom 3 story cottage just across from the beach. This was a family celebration vacation with 6 adults and 5 children. The cottage was immaculately clean 5 bedrooms one with a king bed and sauna with ensuite bathroom, 2 other bathrooms, all utensils bedding and towels included. Onsite laundry facility. Two huge decks, the topmost a wrap around from which the sunset views were the best at Sauble. The upper living room was set up with a DVD projector and a wall case full of movies. There were board games, playing cards, poker set etc. Outside there was a sandbox, slide, fire pit and basketball hoop for shared use by us and those in the smaller cottages on the property. At the front of the property is a beachside food takeout with very good hamburgers and fries. Perfect weather, great beach and superb accommodation.

Great place near the beach (across the road) for hot dogs, fries, onion rings, drinks, ice cream. Pretty good food cooked when ordered that won't break the bank. Good for families with young kids. Tip: Watch the gulls don't steal your meal! Outdoor seating only.

My husband and I fell in love with Chez Anna and Jo Anna and Jo are a charming, gracious couple and Anna is a wonderful cook.

We made the mistake of stopping at this restaurant for a quick bite when all the other places were busy. Unfortunately, we quickly realized why they had room for us. The food was simply terrible. The fries were soggy and cold, and the hamburgers were overcooked and dry. When we mentioned our disappointment, all we got was a half-hearted apology. Save yourself the trouble and choose a different restaurant - any other place would be a better option than this one.

The poutine was amazing, as always. We also tried the new cheesecake, which was a great addition to the menu. The food was delicious and the prices were fair. My wife was happy with our dining experience.
