Yip Hong's Dim Sum Kāng Lè Yuán

This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Saskatoon. I really love the ambiance and the concept of having a round, rotating table for sharing dishes. We especially enjoy the chicken feet, dim sum, and noodle dishes, all offered at reasonable prices that are competitive compared to other places. The restaurant also features a robot waiter, which adds a fun touch to the dining experience.

The food taste great but cost way more to feed family. Just one order of beef short ribs, 7.50. with barely any food in it. Portions are not like they use to be. Glad I got 2 orders tho. Also got other stuff, and portions were all the same. In these small containers...

The food was amazing. Except for the fried squid dish (soggy and not crunchy enough), everything we ordered was absolutely amazing. Service was so so, hard to get the attention of service staff and had to ask multiple times to get anything even during non-busy times. The atmosphere is nice. However, sanitation needs improvement. The condiment bottles and service call buttons are sticky every visit, and the tables dont appear to be wiped down properly between customers. Will definitely go back for the food.

We went for supper, for my sons' birthday. They have a roaming Robot who is being helpful by serving some (not all of the food orders.To order, U have to scan a QR Code from a little stand on your table. There are pictures to show what the food looks like. I guess its just a matter of getting use to this method of ordering.Surprisingly this time, we did not order any dimsum. We had Pork BarBQ Fried Rice (very good! , Fried Squids (very tasty! , Fish Maw soup (very good! , Sweet Sour Pork, Pork Chops, Dry Pork Ribs and House Tea. The tab was $107, excluding tip.Just now I realized most of what we ordered were pork dishes hahaha!Nonetheless, the food was so good!! My sister and I ate there twice in the last three weeks, first for lunch and then dinner this weekend. Our lunch had better service compared to the dinner but our dim sum dishes were luke-warm and some dishes were bland. I will give them the benefit of doubt and say it was likely because it was the lunch rush. During the dinner, the dim sum was much better quality! It came out hot and was well flavoured! We ordered the beef and onion hot pot as a take out dish to bring home for my dad and he said it lacked flavour and beef. Overall though, the dim sum dishes were 10x superior to anything I could have eaten in Regina though.
