I ordered the Cajun onions and was served them stone cold. When I raised this issue, I was informed that this was how they were meant to be served. Additionally, the onion rings were overcooked and dried up, with some lacking any onion at all. This was not the first time I had been disappointed at Montana's, but I decided to give it another chance due to my preexisting fondness for the restaurant. However, I will not be returning again.
I went to the restaurant on a Thursday evening, which happened to be appetizer night. The spinach dip was disappointing, but the chicken bites were delicious.
When we moved to Saskatoon, we were searching for a restaurant to take my mother-in-law out for supper, and we stumbled upon this place. She thoroughly enjoyed it, and we have since made it a regular spot even when she is not with us. If you're considering dining at Montana's in Saskatoon, this particular location on Eighth Street is the one to choose. Despite there being a closer Montana's, the drive to this one is well worth it as it offers a superior dining experience.
Ordered the buttermilk chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. Was fantastic. The corn bread was sweet and moist. Would definately recommend this meal.
Ordered the burger, much more burger than bun, thick slice of ham, tasty sauce. Very pleasant service, quick and attentive. Booths a little cramped but then again I may be a little larger that most.
