Dany's Flammkuchen & Cafe im Naturhotel Holzwurm

Wir sind hier nach einer gemütlichen Wanderrunde eingekehrt und haben bei einem kühlen Radler einen sehr leckeren Flammkuchen gegessen. Preise und Service i.O.. gerne wieder.

Nach dem Erntedank- Umzug habe ich mir im Dany`s Flammkuchen und Cafe in Sasbachwalden einen vegetarischen Flammkuchen für 6,90 Euro und eine Bionade Holunder für 2,20 Euro bestellt. An diesem Tage war auf Grund des großen Andrangs Selbstbedienung angesagt.Der bestellte Flammkuchen wurde zwar sehr schnell an den Tisch gebracht ... aber für mich war dies viel zu viel an Creme Fraiche - garniert mit einer Unmenge von Zwiebeln. Obwohl ich schon einiges davon gegessen habe, musste ich doch einen ziemlich großen Berg an Creme Fraiche und Zwiebeln zurücklassen. Sorry - bei bestem Wohlwollen reicht es gerade noch zu einem " befriedigend "

Wir haben den Geburtstag unseres Sohnes bei Dany's gefeiert. Der Tisch war schon so liebevoll vorbereitet, das wir uns gleich wie zuhause gefühlt haben.Die Flammkuchen waren einfach ganz großes Kino und die Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte ein wahrer Kuchentraum!! Danke für die tolle Bewirtung, wir kommen wieder!!!!

Sasbachwalden is a small picturesque village about a half hour's drive from Baden-Baden. There are plenty of walking routes around the village for walking enthusiasts. For the rest of us, the village is quintessentially German, offering the eye a wide number of old buildings lovingly restored by those living there.I had been looking for a place serving 'Flammkuchen' during our stay in Baden-Baden when I came across this cafe on Tripadvisor. The previous (albeit limited and dated) evaluations were completely spot on! I suppose quality lasts ....The cafe itself is small and intimate with a modest terrace outside its front door. We sat indoors and were greeted by the friendly waitress (who, as it happens, is married to the owner who, in turn, is the chef and chief baker) and took our order. The food arrived promptly on wooden serving boards and the 'Flammkuchen' were delicious. The creamy topping was a lovely contrast to the amazingly thin crust. We ordered the 'original' and the vegetarian version with goat's cheese and fresh parsley. Then we decided to treat ourselves to a piece of Black Forest gateau. It was sumptuous and light.Our verdict: this is a wonderful alternative to larger restaurants purporting to serve proper 'Flammkuchen'. The prices are most agreeable and the service good. In addition, it provides the perfect rest stop through the Black Forest and you don't have to worry about parking. We'd definitely go again. Mind only that there is no alcohol served on the premises but I heard that you can bring your own wine at the weekends for a small fee.

Bei Strahlenden Sonnenschein eine Eisschokolade und nen Flammenkuchen gegessen. Ein Traum. Wir kommen wieder!
