Chuck's Roadhouse Grill - Sarnia

Four of us waited about an hour and a half for our food. Unfortunately, all of the steaks were overcooked, and the bacon-wrapped filet mignon was unrecognizable despite being ordered medium rare. My daughter's ribs were so dry and tough that they were inedible. To make matters worse, when we received our $140 bill, we noticed an unexpected 3 percent charge labeled the "Honest Goodness Fee" for what was supposed to be high-quality food. This fee was mentioned in the alcohol menu, which we didn't even order from. It’s concerning when customers are caught off guard by additional charges, and the server is left feeling embarrassed trying to explain it.

This was, without a doubt, the worst food I've ever had. The meal was overcooked, soggy, dry, cold, and incorrect! When I brought this to their attention, they claimed it wasn't their issue and insisted that I had indeed received loaded fries, even though it was clear that I hadn't. The manager was quite rude and showed a lack of professionalism. I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning.

I had a great burger during my last visit. This time, I tried the steak and lobster tail, along with a baked potato, and everything was really delicious. The price for the pitcher of beer was quite reasonable too. Overall, it's definitely a fantastic place to dine.

We ordered the shareable Caesar salad with chicken and garlic bread. The salad also came with pita wedges, so we probably could have skipped the garlic bread. Overall, it was a satisfying and tasty lunch for two. I would recommend that they provide an extra plate for guests; we ended up using the garlic bread basket as our second plate.

Oh Canada Day! We went out for a steak dinner and received so much more than we expected. The steak was the thickest, juiciest one we've ever had, and it was offered at a great price. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. To make our experience even better, we had the pleasure of meeting Sue, the owner, who is a fantastic storyteller.
