Fries are nothing special but they are not the main attraction. Great service. Eat in or take out. Also have broasted chicken on the menu for non fish lovers.

If you are searching for Captain John's at their previous spot on Christina Street and find the building vacated, do not fret. They have relocated to their new establishment on Mitton Street, inside the former Harry's Restaurant between Davis and Wellington Streets. The cuisine is still top-notch, with the fish and chips maintaining their delicious quality.
This is a very busy restaurant - and rightfully so. While the onion rings were average, and the slaw was very good but a little on the sweet side for me - the fish was EXCELLENT! My wife and I both ordered the Fish and Chips - because that was the specialty of the restaurant. We were not disappointed. Would love to eat here again.
Had a sit down meal a while back here. Fish was fairly expensive and all deep fried. No atmosphere here, interior stark and antiseptic. Better off going to Purdy's by the river for a real fish fry!
