The Ritz-carlton, Sarasota

We arrived to what I thought was. Ritz Carlton however it was more like a super 8 Their ac systems are poorly designed and don’t cool the rooms off , the sulfur filtration system needs major work every-time we showered the whole room smelled like rotten eggs ! This is unacceptable! Also the photos on this site are not the real photos of the property, the gorgeous pictures are actually of their beach club 6 miles away

Luxurious hotel. People here is extremely nice at all levels. Entire building is spotless, all areas are extremely clean. Very happy with pool service. Alexander and Julio were super nice, our servers, always there with our drinks and food when we needed something by the pool. Food was great. Tried ceviche, grilled fish tacos, chicken &fries, nachos. We recommend it!

Attended my cousin's wedding here. Very nice. Great staff

I found the hotel noisy and chaotic, I stay at many of the Ritz properties globally and I am always let down by the USA locations. For some specifics: I hate with a passion tub and shower combos. It always feels very trailer park. The shower has shower gel (positive) but no wash rags. How do people here was their body? The club lounge was full of people grazing and drinking way too much and a lot of kids. The idea of self serve wine machines should tell you the purpose. If I wanted to serve myself wine, I’d stay home and even then I’d not use a wine vending machine. The pool: service is spotty but friendly. For 3 days there was a DJ who started off ok but every time devolved into profane laced hip hop. Call me old fashioned but kids should not be exposed to rap using profanity and the N word. The food throughout the property was uninspired. The staff at the front desk and spa seem to fall into the wrong idea that class is equal to cold and clinical. The shuttle to the beach club ran on time so top marks for that. This location does not come close to the properties in Vienna or Shanghai or even Mexico.

I share a lot of my reviews online because I feel like it’s a proper thing to do this place has extraordinary service was impeccable. It’s everything you want in a five star. The only thing I would say that’s a miss is the spa where they want to charge you to use their steam room and sauna really feel like that’s a little bit out of context for the money you pay to stay there You should not have to pay for a sauna or a steam room. It just makes you feel like you’re trying to make more money off of people when you already have a winning situation.
