The drinks were affordable and I had a great time on the occasions I visited. It's unfortunate that the bar has permanently closed. Oasis will always hold a special place in my heart.
This morning, I took my grandmother out for brunch and we really enjoyed it. The menu had a lot of great options and the food was prepared in a homemade style. It had a rustic and tasty flavor, not too salty, and was just perfect for a meal after spending time at the beach.
The service was satisfactory, given that there were only two female servers. However, the biscuit was terrible – hard as a rock and lacking in flavor. My eggs, toast, and home fries were decent, while my husband's grits were also satisfactory. Overall, the meal was not enough to warrant a return visit.
I only planned on coming for drinks, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they also serve food. I'll have to come back during the day next time to try it out.
Highly recommended. We visited this location on S. Osprey Avenue, a small establishment, on our way home from Siesta Key beach on a Sunday.
