As a self-proclaimed musculoskeletal, I can honestly say that Monks Steamer Bar has the best muscles I've ever tried. The texture, taste and nutritional value of these small marine animals are all top-notch. But the shells are not the only stars of the show at the Steamer Bar of Monk. They also offer an extensive selection of other seafoods that are as amazing. From juicy crab legs to juicy shrimps, quality and freshness of seafood are simply unsurpassed. And we do not forget the cozy and welcoming atmosphere of the bar, complete with friendly staff and a warm ambience. It is the perfect place to relax after a long day at work or to celebrate a special occasion with friends and family. Very good food served quickly and hot! They steam the seafood at the bar. $9.95 for 2lbs steamed shells! The Monk bread is great to absorb the butter and juices. Beverages very cheap also. Friendly service completes everything!

Delicious parmesan oysters. Crab legs were also very delicious. Our plate of steamed mussels and mussels was very fresh and tasty. Friendly customer service.

We were hesitant in going in when we parked the car. My wife said let's give it a try. We sat at the bar and a pleasant welcomed by the Jack the bartender who also had taken our order. I ordered the Combo Plater that was loaded with clams, mussels, crawfish and crab legs I just about finished it. It was tasty delicious. My wife had scrimp order that had 2 pounds of shrimp she couldn't finish it, we taken the rest home. The food was awesome and the service was superb. You are entertained if your sitting at the bar.

Seriously on this review If I could give it a zero I would. The bartenders were rude and non attentive and the owner was even ruder . Wow seriously do yourself a favor and stay away from this gross bar . Food and beer (name of place and have several in the area )which we found amazing and welcome (yes that’s the name check it out best chicken nachos ever )right down the street and have opened up several more in the is area has fabulous food and the thirsty turtle the bartenders were beyond friendly and fabulous . Don’t Even bother going here it will be a complete waste of time and I worked in the industry for over 20 years . Rude and Gross ?
